Livelihood Sewing project
Nataliya Kubareva (42) and her family live in the village of Triokhizbenka, just 1,5 km from the frontline, eastern Ukraine. Herself and her husband are unemployed and, thus, have to seek for other work opportunities. NRC has provided Nataliya with cotton fabric, thread and tailoring scissors, so that she can make bed linen sets at home. Also, Nataliya is paid for sewing 10 sets of bed linen. Now when she has finished sewing, NRC will hand over the bed linen to hospitals, elderly houses, hospices and orphanages which are at the contact line area, where the needs are very high. Nataliya is happy she can have this job which increase her family`s income, especially at winter time. When spring comes, she hopes she`ll be able to earn with growing vegetables and fruits and selling them at the local market.
