Ibrahim, 38 years old
Ibrahim from Homs has been living Azraq Refugee Camp for 16 months now, with three sons and one daughter. He used to work in farming back in Syria, the thing he couldn't give up here in Jordan, so he started to plant trees around his shelter in the camp. The reason behind growing plants in the camp is to create looking shelter for himself and his family, also he wants to live in a beautiful environment full of plants.
"I brought the soil when they were working on the water drainage channels, there was soil from under the ground which is suitable for planting" the 38 years old said, "planting or farming work is the thing that fills my time, beside the feel of achievement that comes when the plants grow".
Ibrahim grows different kinds of plants that his family needs every day. such as parsley, onion, rocca, spinach, radish, and peas.
