Burnt down village in Jabal Moon (Dec 1st 2021)
A survivor of November's attacks on Jabal Moon, in front of his former home. The village is now deserted, as people fled to the surrounding mountains.
In Jabal Moon, West Darfur, at least 12 villages and displacement camps were burned down between November 17 and 30 during two separate incidents, with around 100 50 people killed and nearly 10,000 displaced.
On December 8th, Jabal Moon was hit again, with new reports of attacks and burned villages.
A joint humanitarian team, including NRC staff, had been able to assess parts of Jabal Moon’s conflict-affected areas early December.
