Abdurrahman, is one of the 70 teachers recruited by the Norwegian Refugee Council to teach the North Waziristan refugee children in Khost province of Afghanistan.
Thousands of families that escaped military offensive in Pakistan’s North Waziristan took shelter in Afghanistan’s Khost province. NRC with support from NORAD continued to support providing education to the refugee children in and around the Khost city.
Abdurrahman and his fellow teachers are attended a teacher training session in Khost city. The training aims to support the teachers with their work in the camp and to deliver quality education for the refugee children in their classes.
During this training the teachers are engaged in creating curriculum and learning tools that can help change the student’s behavior for good, changing the classroom environment and building better relationship with their students.
After completing this training, the teachers will go to different district of Khost province, especially in Gulan Refugee Camp to serve more than 2,000 Pakistani refugee girls and boys. Photo: Enayatullah Azad/NRC
